Sailor pregnant with her first child admitted to USAF Hospital Langley (Hampton, VA) in active labor.. The infant, despite being a healthy full-term infant, suffered profound brain damage from oxygen deprivation. The infant’s brain damage occurred after ominous signs of fetal hypoxia and acidemia went unheeded by the hospital OB/GYN over the course of several hours. The USAF agreed to pay $2 million in compromise of these matters.

Client was heading home on U.S. Route 13 on the Eastern Shore. At the same time, the defendant was driving from NYC to her home in Portsmouth. She decided to consume a large amount of alcohol (0.265 BAC). By the time she was nearly to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel she crossed the median and struck client's vehicle head-on causing it to flip and client to be pinned inside with a heinous leg injury and suffer a period of short unconsciousness.
