Four Injured in HRBT Crash
Four people are recovering after a collision on the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel last week. The November 17, 2016 incident occurred on the Hampton side of the tunnel when a Virginia State Trooper pulled over a car on the right side of the road. In the left lane, a vehicle rear-ended the car in front of it, then swerved, hitting another car and pushing it into the Trooper’s vehicle. Four people – including the Trooper – were injured in the collision and taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver responsible for the collision was charged with reckless driving and driving while suspended. Other charges are pending.
We send our thoughts out to the injured people recovering from this scary incident. Thankfully, none of the injuries were reported to be life-threatening. Still, these folks may have rough roads ahead. Even relatively minor injuries can put people out of work and on bed rest for days, weeks – even months, if certain complications should arise.
No one injured by a negligent driver should have to suffer financially. The mistakes made by a stranger should be the responsibility of that person – not the accident victim. That’s why we fight on behalf of people injured or killed in car crashes like this one. Medical bills, lost wages and even compensation for pain and suffering can be sought by car accident victims. We encourage anyone injured in a collision like this one to reach out to our team for a free consultation.
