Dump Truck Crash Kills One, Injures Two
Charges are pending following a fatal accident in Virginia Beach. Police say the December 30, 2016 accident on Princess Anne road claimed the life of one man. Two others involved in the wreck were sent to the hospital with injuries.
Though investigators are still piecing together exactly what happened, they know this much: a dump truck attempting to back into a construction site entrance collided with a Ford F150 truck. The Ford was sent spinning into the westbound inside lane where it collided with a Honda CRV.
Both the driver of the Honda and the driver of the Ford were injured in the crash. A passenger in the Ford died in the collision. The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
Locals report hearing the crash from their nearby homes. The sound of the collision reminded one woman of a sonic boom. Tragically, it was the sound of vehicles colliding.
As the investigation continues, police expect to charge at least one of the drivers involved in the accident. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this incident for developments. In the meantime, we’re sending good vibes to the victims injured in the accident.
