A young boy between the ages of 10 and 11 was struck by a car Sunday evening in Georgetown and is now in critical condition, according to The Washington Post.

The accident occurred around 6PM on Wisconsin Ave between Q and R Streets. According to News8, the boy suffered serious head trauma after his head hit the sidewalk.  

WUSA9.com reported that the boy was taken to Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Investigators are still unclear of how that accident occurred.
