According to The Virginian Pilot, two seperate pedestrian accidents occurred in Norfolk yesterday. The first accident happened on St. Paul's Blvd close to the McDonald's. The second accident was near College Place and Boush Street. Both pedestrians were hit, and an ambulance was sent to each scene. Neither victim sustained serioius injury. Both accidents are still under investigation. The fact is, those driving any type of motor vehicle have a responsibility to watch out for pedestrians and those riding bicycles. Although pedestrians have a responsibility to be cautious for their own safety and obey crosswalk signals, drivers do not have the right to be negligent and disregard the actions of pedestrians and cyclists.
