Two injured in Newport News car accident after woman runs red light

Two people are injured after a woman ran a red light in Newport News and struck another vehicle. The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Bland Blvd.  

According to WVEC, a woman driving a Lincoln Navigator ran a red light and struck a Chevy Traverse totaling both vehicles.  She then hit a Mercedes and a Mazda that were in the left turning lanes.

Charges against the woman who ran the red light are currently pending.
