Six Vehicle Crash in Chesapeake leaves 4 year-old seriously injured

A Chesapeake car accident at the intersection of Battlefield Blvd and Walmart Way sent six people to the hospital Sunday afternoon. According to The Virginian-Pilot, charges are pending against two drivers involved in the accident.

Five vehicles were stopped at a red light when a sixth vehicle failed to stop. The car hit the last car in line causing all of the other vehicles ahead of it to collide.

Six people were injured and taken to the hospital including a 4 year-old girl.  Police say that the girl was not in a restraining device at the time of the accident.  The girl is currently in serious condition.
