Man Killed in VA Beach Crash

need-an-ambulance-1512594One person has died after a crash in Virginia Beach. The April 13, 2018 collision occurred near the intersection of Dam Neck Road and London Bridge Road around 6:30 PM. Police responded to a call that a minivan heading west on Dam Neck Road struck the back of a Honda Civic. The collision forced the Honda off to the right side of the road, while the van veered towards the left, hitting multiple trees in the median. One man died at the scene, while another was treated for injuries at a local hospital. The incident remains under investigation.

The Investigation Continues

Not many details have been released about this incident so far. We don’t know the exact cause of the wreck, so it’s impossible to know for sure which driver was at fault. In general, most rear-end accidents are seen as the fault of the driver in the back. This is not always the case, though. As police continue their investigation, more will become apparent about each driver’s role in the wreck. Until then, the victims and families of the deceased should consider speaking with personal injury and wrongful death attorneys to protect their rights.

Legal Options for the Family of the Deceased

Depending upon the specifics for this incident, the family of the deceased victim may have grounds for a wrongful death lawsuit. They should speak with a lawyer as soon as possible to determine if they indeed have a viable case. The sooner they discuss their options with an experienced, knowledgeable attorney, the better.
