King William County car accident leaves one dead and one injured

In King William County, a deadly accident occurred on June 25 on King William Road, also Route 30, about a half-mile north of Route 611. Marie R. Robinson-Jones was driving a 2006 Lincoln Town Car when she crossed the double line striking an oncoming 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

The driver of the Chevy pickup truck was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Robinson-Jones was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries she sustained from the accident. Police have reported that Robinson-Jones was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. An investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of this fatal accident.
