Drunk Driver Collides Head On with Motorcyclist
A Eden, North Carolina man has been charged with a DUI following a fatal accident last weekend. Police say the incident occurred shortly before 2 PM the afternoon of June 11, 2017. A car heading south on Route 610 ran off the right side of the road. When the driver tried to get back onto the road, he over-corrected, steering into the path of a motorcyclist heading the opposite direction. Tragically, the man riding the motorcycle died at the scene of the crash. The man at the wheel of the car was later charged with driving while intoxicated. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
