A Greene County school bus driver has been charged with failure to yield the right of way. The failure to yield caused another vehicle to strike the school bus sending the driver of the vehicle and six elementary school children to the hospital.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Fredericksburg Road Thursday morning.
According to
NBC29.com, Lori Whittmeyer, the 62 year old bus driver, has been suspended for the last few days of school and it is unclear if she will be returning.
This is the second Greene County school bus accident within the past 2 weeks, prompting school officials to take a closer look at procedures.
