$3 million Awarded in Slip and Fall Carnival Cruise Ship Lawsuit

On May 13, 2011 Denise Kaba was awarded $2,998,155.70 for a slip and fall injury she received while on a Carnival cruise ship.

Denise Kaba was a passenger on the Carnival Pride when she slipped and fell on the resin surface of the pool deck fracturing her patella.  Mrs. Kara had to undergo six surgeries and will need one or two total knee replacements in the future.

The cruise line had installed a resin surface on the pool deck which was hard and slippery.  Carnival knew about prior accidents on the same type of surface on other ships.
