Virginia Port Authority to Reorganize

The Virginia Port Authority's board of directors recently made the decision to reorganize and downsize it's agency.    Currently they employ one hundred fifty seven people and wish to reduce their staff by seven percent. They plan to offer early retirement buyouts starting Wednesday, November 14th.

In contrast, they plan add three new deputy exective directors.

The Virginia Port authority owns several marine terminals in Virginia while Virginia International Terminals operates all of these facilities.
