July 13, 2010 around 10AM a man riding a bicycle was hit by a car and taken to the hospital. 

According to The Virginian-Pilot, the accident occurred between Tidewater Drive and Virginia Beach Blvd. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.   

According to Wavy.com, the accident is still under investigation and police have yet to file any charges.
