"Industrial Accident" in Arlington, Va Worker falls 7 stories to death

According to MyFoxDC.com, a worker from the Hallmark Ironworks Company fell seven stories to his death while working on the balcony at the Arlington Court Suites Hotel yesterday.

"The worker fell seven stories, through a glass atrium and into the hotel’s front lobby. No word yet on how the worker fell, but ironwork appears to have been underway on four balconies above the atrium."  Reported by ARLnow.com

The victim was said to be wearing a safety harness, but investigators are unsure if he was tied in.  They did report that the railings had been removed.

OSHA will be conducting an investigation, focusing on the company's fall protection gear.
